As the bootcamp progresses, participants are grouped according to their preferred technology stack, resulting in dedicated PHP and Python tracks. The image above captures some members of the Python cohort during a system design session held on June 19, where they were actively working on the architectural design of a new web application project, SellerHQ.
SellerHQ is being designed as a marketplace-focused platform that enables users to advertise multiple products and services while offering premium visibility through featured listings. The platform will also integrate with major e-commerce platforms via APIs, allowing merchants and online stores to publish promotional offers and discounted products directly on the application.
Over the coming days, SellerHQ will be developed collaboratively by the cohort as part of a hands-on learning experience. Beyond strengthening technical proficiency, the project is designed to cultivate critical industry skills, including system thinking, architectural decision-making, debugging, problem-solving, and software development best practices. Equally important, it provides participants with opportunities to build confidence, improve communication, and develop effective teamwork skills.
The project is being led by Moat Academy’s Principal Consultant, Abiola Ilupeju, who continues to guide participants through the practical realities of modern software engineering.
The development of SellerHQ will incorporate a range of technologies and concepts, including:
- Front-end development technologies
- Database design and management
- Python and Flask
- AJAX and API integrations
- Software architecture and system design
As the project matures, participants will gain exposure to professional deployment workflows, moving the application from development to production using CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services.
With some weeks still remaining in the bootcamp, Cohort 34 continues to demonstrate remarkable growth, innovation, and determination. If their progress is an indication, the technology industry can look forward to welcoming a new generation of highly skilled software engineers, problem-solvers, and technology leaders emerging from this cohort.
