My Journey to Two Tech Offers, Ifeoluwa

“I’ve built full-stack applications, collaborated on projects, and secured two tech roles shortly after graduating” – Ifeoluwa

Do you remember Ifeoluwa Koleoso from our last cohort, who developed the bicycle sharing web app, Peddle?

Below video shows Ifeoluwa presenting Peddle during the boot camp:

He has transitioned into the industry as a software developer and has since being contributing to its growth. We met with him in this interview to hear more about his experiences before, during, and after the boot camp:

Can we meet you?

My name is Ifeoluwa Koleoso, and I’m a passionate Full-stack Web developer dedicated to solving real-world problems through technology. I’m constantly learning and enjoy working on projects that make a meaningful impact.

What were you doing before coming to Moat Academy?

Before joining Moat Academy, I was working in a non-tech role, and learning to code independently. I realized I needed a more structured and intensive approach to grow, and that’s what led me to Moat.

What is the name of your current company and role?

I currently work at Cavidel Limited as a Full-stack Web Developer, where I focus on building scalable web applications and collaborating on product development.

How have things changed for you since gaining software development skills?

My life has changed significantly. I now have the technical skills and confidence to take on real projects, work in tech teams, and continuously improve my craft.

What was your biggest fear before coming to Moat Academy and what do you feel about it now?

My biggest fear was whether I would be able to keep up. I was scared and constantly questioned if software development was really for me. I doubted my ability to learn fast and apply the knowledge effectively. However, going through the training at Moat Academy changed that. The structured approach, hands-on projects, and support system helped me build confidence. I now feel more capable and see software development as a path I truly belong to.

How will you describe your experience in Moat Academy?

It was intense, practical, and empowering. The bootcamp challenged me but also gave me the tools, mindset, and confidence to thrive in tech.

What have you been able to achieve with the training?

I’ve built several full-stack applications, collaborated on projects, and secured two tech roles shortly after graduating.

Can you share your experiences with us since you graduated from Moat Academy?

Since graduating, I’ve joined Cavidel Limited and ProCircle where I am actively working as a developer. I stay connected with Moat alumni, continue learning, and apply the skills I acquired daily.

What advice do you have for those coming into Moat Academy?

Come with an open mind and be ready to work hard. Ask questions, build as much projects as you can before the end of the boot camp, and trust the process. The results will speak for themselves.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years, I see myself in a senior cybersecurity engineering role—leading initiatives to protect systems, data, and users from emerging threats. I hope to be contributing to products that prioritize security, conducting security audits, and mentoring others who want to build careers in cybersecurity. I also aim to be involved in shaping secure development practices within engineering teams.

Don't just be a software developer, be a software developer that standout
