My name is Okuagu Chiamaka, I am a medical student and now a software developer.
What were you doing before coming to Moat Academy?
I was in school.
What exactly do you want to achieve with software development skills?
With my software skills, I hope to create software products and services that solve business and medical problems, making people's lives easier.
Why did you choose Moat Academy for Developers?
I chose Moat Academy for two reasons:
Her affordability was the primary factor. The second element was her alumni's track record of accomplishment. I was impressed by some Moat Academy alumni's quick job advancement after investigating them. I, therefore, concluded that the academy must give newcomers a strong foundation if these individuals attended it and performed well.
How have things changed for you since gaining software development skills?
Things have changed positively. I have been able to improve my creative skill and I have been more analytical.
What was your biggest fear before coming to Moat Academy and what do you feel about it now?
I was worried that I wouldn't be successful. I was worried that I wouldn't follow through. Now, I feel there is nothing I cannot do; I just have to put my mind to it.
How will you describe your experience at Moat Academy?
I had a wonderful time at Moat Academy. I made some excellent relationships and learned some previously unknown facts about myself. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the support was fantastic.
What have you been able to achieve with the training?
With the Moat Academy training, I have been able to secure a job as a software developer and I have now done a real project for the company

Can you share your experiences with us since you graduated from Moat Academy?
My experience has been fantastic; I've been able to collaborate with professionals at work efficiently, I've learned a lot from them, and I've also shown resourcefulness.
What advice do you have for those coming into Moat Academy?
One piece of advice I would give prospective students is to be serious about whatever they are being taught and to pay keen attention to what the facilitators are teaching. Lastly to make good friends because networking is key.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In the next 5 years, I hope to have my own team and be independent on my own as a software developer.
