An interview with our Alumnus, Babatunde Stephen Ogundele (now a Professional Software Developer), a member of the cohort 16<\/a> boot camp that ended on March 12, 2021.<\/p>\n

Can we meet you?<\/strong>
\nMy name is Ogundele Babatunde Stephen, and I am a Software Developer.<\/p>\n

What were you doing before coming to Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span>?<\/strong>
\nBefore coming to Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span>, I was a Digital Marketer, I created ads and promotions for different business owners.<\/p>\n

What exactly do you want to achieve with the software development<\/a> skills?<\/strong>
\nI want to achieve a lot with the foundation already built, I am looking to creating more software solutions across Nigeria, Africa, and the world at large.<\/p>\n

How has things changed for you since gaining software development skills?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everything has really changed, I can call myself a software developer with a clear conscience, because through all the skills I acquired, I can now provide solutions to real life problems.<\/p>\n

What was your biggest fear before coming to Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span> and what do you feel about it now?<\/strong>
\nMy biggest fear is the fear of the unknown, not knowing if I would get a job or not, I sacrificed everything for this programme, I can't think of myself not getting what I prayed and planned for, I hated to think about it then. Right now, it\u2019s mission accomplished, I feel I have conquered the first of many battles in this industry and I am raring to conquer more.<\/p>\n

How will you describe your experience in Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span>?<\/strong>
\nMy experience at Moat<\/span> was wonderful, truthfully it wasn't an easy ride, Good things they say doesn't come easy, I had to brace-up, at the end it was worth it<\/p>\n

What have you been able to achieve with the training?<\/strong>
\nI got a job as a result of the training received from Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span>, which has seen me participating in the building of major projects. Without these skills I would have been nowhere near, and I'm indeed grateful to Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span> for their mentorship, tutelage and guidance.<\/p>\n

Can you share your experiences with us since you graduated from Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span>?<\/strong>
\nExperience after graduation wasn't easy at first, it becomes easy when you keep the momentum going, you practice even more than ever before.<\/p>\n

What advice do you have for those coming into Moat<\/span> Academy<\/span>?<\/strong>
\nMy advice for those coming to Moat<\/span> academy<\/span> is that they should give it their all, you have probably done a lot of thinking before choosing this path, the grass is greener on the other side if you put in the work, it\u2019s not going to be easy though, but I believe you can get it done, see you in the industry guys.<\/p>\n

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?<\/strong>
\nIn 5 years, I believe I would have created lots of solutions that would be celebrated by Africans and the world at large.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
