Even with one month to the end of the year 2017, we can\u2019t wait to start recounting the success stories recorded within the year.\u00a0 Yes, Moat Academy is coming of age as our curriculum specially developed to take anybody passionate about software development even with little or no prior knowledge in software development to an advanced level within the shortest possible period is being proven viable over and over again.\u00a0 Here are some interesting achievements within the year:<\/p>\n

United Nations Hackathon: The first ever held UN hackathon\u00a0 in Nigeria \u00a0had four members of our training (Moat Academy and Pink IT) as part of the six-man winning team. The Hackathon which took place between March 10 \u2013 12, 2017 was implemented in 9 cities across the world, with Lagos as the only city in Africa; innovators and developers were selected through an application process. Each city focused on one of the United Nation\u2019s Sustainable Development goal, a total of 11 teams were formed and each team was asked to identify real problems in their community and develop scale-able solutions.<\/p>\n

Fisayo at Interswitch<\/strong> : One of\u00a0 our Alumni gained employment with the leading payment\u00a0 processing company in Nigeria, Interswitch in just few weeks after completion of his training with us. According to him : \u201cIf you want a place with family touch, where you are mentored even after your training in software development, Moat academy should be your point of call\u201d , read full interview we had with him.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0Kehinde at Moore Advice:<\/strong> One of the Pink IT Alumni\u00a0 (a program which Moat Academy\u2019s curriculum was also deployed) gained employment with a software company, MooreAdvice in less than two weeks after her training .<\/p>\n

Mariam at Concept Nova: Mariam gained employment with a software company, Concept Nova limited in less than 3 weeks after completing her training with us. \u00a0According to her: \u201cMoat Academy is the best academy you can ever choose for your career in software development\u2026 read full interview we had with her.<\/a><\/p>\n

Toba at DipoleDiamond<\/strong> : In less the 2 weeks after the bootcamp, Toba gained employment with Dipole Diamond as a software Developer. \u00a0\u00a0Read full interview we had with him.<\/a><\/p>\n

Pink IT Demo day on Channel s TV<\/strong>: We are happy that 3 commercially viable applications were presented on the demo day developed from scratch by those we trained. Watch video here<\/a><\/p>\n

Daniel at Insidify<\/strong> : Daniel gained employment as a backend developer at Insidify.<\/p>\n

Victor, Chigozie and Others set up their own software companies<\/p>\n

We wish to go on but space constraint will not allow us. Many more successes were achieved by our Alumni as employees, freelancer and entrepreneurs within the year.<\/p>\n
